Structure

The structure of this Organization isn't readily apparent or something that the Priests talk about. But neither has anyone ever asked about it. Ultimately, they are led by Morgance and have direct communication with her. But on Tangwyn the Royal Priest is the leader.

Public Agenda

They tend the Runestone of Morgance that are scattered throughout the land. At one time, this meant all over the Kingdom of Aon. Since the Civil War, they are now just spread out over the Kingdom of Merkan. Only one Priest is assigned to a Runestone.
Other duties including:

• Marriage Ceremonies
• Blessings (of babies, travelers, etc)
• Escorting the soul of the dead to the Whippled-Nethers
• Providing guidance to any who ask
• Keepers of History

Assets

They have enough supernatural ability to be able to communicate with Morgance, escorting the dead to the Whippled-Nethers, and linking couples together during marriage ceremonies.

History

Priests have been around since Morgance created life on Tangwyn. Through Nevan they got the Shroud of Morgance.
They did go through a period of persecution under Mordoth. This weakened them enough that not all souls are able to be pulled out of Shadowsoul and escorted to the Whippled-Nethers.

• Bring harm to none
• Guide the living and the dead
• Record/Protect Tangwyn history

Worship

Prayers/Chants are given to Morgance. While some, like marriages and when the Priest escorts a soul to the Whippled-Nethers, is done at the Runestone, many don't have to be.
All that's important is belief and giving thanks.

Priesthood

Every Priest guides Morgance's 'children' even if they don't believe in her.
They were created by Morgance. No one knows for sure if the Priests are immortal or are born and somehow they still all look the same.
