The Empire of Dunor (DOO-nor)

The Dunorian Empire is the oldest known human kingdom in all of Sildair. It dominated all of western Sildair throughout the Golden Epoch, but lost much of its power following the Second War of Ashes, when it was invaded and occupied by the forces of Ashagor the Despoiler.

Government

The Empire is ruled over by the Emperor, but divided into provinces run by governors. These are appointed from among patrician families: rich landowners who have the favour of the emperor and his court. Two consuls are also appointed to assist the emperor in his duties, as well as approve his most important choices, like his heir, going to war, and other decisions that affect the whole empire.

History

The empire arose from Dunethel, which was founded by the Dunethi, a tribe of humans ruled by Asgal the Golden. Under his leadership Dunethel expanded it's influence to all of western Sildair, and came to be the dominant culture during The Golden Epoch.
