White Colonies

The region of Valkoraja (VALL-ko-RA-ya) is more commonly known as the White Colonies. Considered to be the northern marches of Lunaria, it is a land of mixed forest and streams. Originally, the elvean port of Enaldel on the coast served the Fae as a stop-over point between Lunaria and Perithalassa (across the sea). In those days, there was some settlement by fae hunters and trappers in the lands between the Western Sea and the Capion Mountians, with temporary defensive forts and trails set up throughout the expansive woods. With the fall of the Kingdom of Oriliath in the 14th Century and the subsequent advancement of northern Jotun into this region, these lands reverted to wilderness for several centuries. During the Age of Exile, in the era of detente between Vainites, Lansians, Fae, and northern Kainen tribes in the 31st century, the White Colonies were retaken by Fae forces. Free lands were resettled by Lansian and Halfae colonists under Marshall oversight, headquartered in Enaldel, subject to the authority of the Faecrown in Oriliath.
