Thread 1.4.4: Culture War

Summary

In a society that has known nothing but near-perfect peace and harmony for over a millennium, the last decade on Khomm has been difficult. After the bombardment by Admiral Daala of the Imperial Remnant, the reconstruction of Khomm, both physically and genetically, has not ben easy. The influence of outside organizations such as The New Republic who have aided in the reconstruction have opened some Khommites to the possibility of a society that isn't perfectly planned, and more importantly, is better able to adapt to extreme situations such as the one they find themselves in.
The two main rivals in the struggle for the ideological future of Khomm are The Hegemony, the long-standing ruling authority on Khomm, and the Adaptation League, a new group of advocates for changes to Khomm. While The Hegemony has the support of most of the traditional groups and organizations (such as Khomm Central Population Planning), the Adaptation League has more underground elements backing it, such as The First Born.

Khomm

Meeting with Brell 142
The Initiates meet with Brell 142 at the Khomm Central Population Planning headquarters in the Government District of Khomm 1. He explains that two days ago, they discovered that Dorsk 82 had been secretly working with a group of anti-government terrorists called The First Born (Thread 1.4.3: Investigating Dorsk 82). He explains the current political climate on Khomm, but is interrupted by sudden sirens throughout the building.
Raid on the KCPP HQ
The First Born conduct a raid on the KCPP headquarters building while The Initiates are meeting with Brell 142 inside. Not wanting to get involved in a local political matter, the padawans simply wait the raid out. After it's over, Rin offers his technical prowess to help uncover what data the raiders were looking for in the KCPP Secure Data Centre. He finds that files related to where the genetic codes of certain lines of bureaucratic clones are stored are all that was accessed.
Droid Attack on the Khommites
The Initiates find the base of The First Born and meet with their leader "Rosk 1. During the meeting, an entire squad of a dozen combat droids blasts into the base, firing at everything in sight. The Initiates, working together with the First Born, are able to destroy the machines without any serious causalities among them. Rosk 1 believes that it was pro-Hegemony forces that sent the droids. Due to the commotion of the battle, Rosk 1 insists that the three Jedi leave at once before they are implicated in the attack in any way, which would cause great harm to the relations between Khomm and The New Republic. The party flees back toward the Mynock's Wing, promising to get in touch again soon to complete their unfinished business.
