Aleron System
VNY's notes:
In the Freeworlds Territory, this is the stop on the Shapani Bypass at the opposite end of the Territory from Mrlsst. You can pick up the Nista Run from here if you're in a hurry to head rimward into the Tapani Sector but for the Force's sake make sure your emergency supplies are in order.
Smogged to hell and back even before the chaos of The Long Night. Domed canyon cities and underground cities, plenty of mining everywhere, mostly run by three major corporations; it’s not really a pleasant planet, but the noodle dishes are AMAZING. Just don’t ask for fruit juice.

Geography
The system primary is Lacertae, a M8 V Red Dwarf star.
While the closest orbiting body in this system is "terrestrial" in the catalogue, none of the planets or moons are considered safe for unprotected travel over long term. Visitors should expect to prepay a "life support tax" based on their estimated length of stay. Conclusive evidence of remaining within one's own environment suit or vehicle may lead to a credit against future visits, issued by the Aleron Trade Cooperative.
Aleron, the closest remaining orbital body in this system, is a typical silicate crust rock planet. Aleron has one large moon, Namnama.
Aleron's local year is 361 standard days long. It has a rotation period of 24 standard hours.
Aleron was originally a temperate terrestrial world. Centuries of mining have turned the atmosphere into a permanent smog cover, which in turn has altered the native ecology. Aleron's primary import is edible food -- expect high prices for fresh produce.
Saniata is a slightly larger, significantly denser rock planet that has been heavily mined over the past millenia for any usable ore. Its single moon, too, has been mined to the point of exhaustion. It rotates slowly on its axis -- once every 82.5 standard days -- and has a gravity of 1.25x Imperial Standard.
Amihan is the first of two ice planets remaining in orbit around Lacertae. It has two small natural moons in addition to a variety of privately-owned orbital platforms. Most ore shipments from the inner system are transferred to hyperspace-capable medium and heavy freighters at one of these platforms.
Lavoie, the outermost orbiting planet of this system, is an unstable ice planet with no natural moons. Its surface has several discolored crack lines radiating away from the impact points of three hyperspace missiles. Military veterans and civilian seismologists agree that one of the missiles sank deep under the crust but did not detonate. Every expert believes that the missile will eventually discharge once the surrounding pressures change enough. Rather than attempt to retrieve or disable it, mitigation efforts have focused on technology to keep the debris from separating far from the planet's current location.
