Last Haven
"Suddenly, our ship lurched out of the water; tearing the veil of the world we once knew. The waves gave way to monstrous hurricanes, and they to endless mountains. And there, just before the break of the rock, was Last Haven; the city of commerce, bathed in radiance beneath the dawning of the eight suns..." -Captain James Prions
Demographics
Last Haven is a major hub of inter-planar trade. While natives of the Aes Empire are more likely to be humans and half-elves, it's nigh impossible to determine precise demographics.
Government
Guilds hold much of the sway in Last Haven, but they are not the full authority. The city is governed by a small body of representatives and legislators of the Aes Empire, and its laws are upheld by the official legal system and guard.
Defences
Last Haven is surrounded by the Ssváje Sea and protected by the navy of the Aes Empire. Additionally, it is protected by the Last Haven City Guard, which is considered among the most proficient guard across the planes.
Infrastructure
In addition to traditional carts, wagons, and boats, Last Haven is serviced by autonomous trolly system. There are 31 docks that encircle the city, catering to ships of differing sizes, and the recently completed Kroll Station, which brought advanced locomotive travel to the city.

Architecture
Last Haven is built upon the wreckage and incorporation of thousands of ships, hammered together and paved over throughout the generations, until an island was formed. Due to its construction, the infrastructure can occasionally collapse into miles of hollowed out ships and tunnels, called meshnets, beneath the surface. Nobody knows for certain how extensive the underside of the city is; or what beings live in the dark places within its cracks.
