Gods of Gehenna
The Gods of Gehenna were originally Empyrean Gods that reveled in the destruction and oppression they had caused in Ragnogoth. They had grown intoxicated with the feeling of potency over those less than them, and the Gehennans had attempted to gain the throne of the Goddess of Creation. But they were thwarted by the gods present and were cast out into a dimension of morbidity, fog, pain, and suffering. They had, however, reveled in their newfound freedom and knew that if Empyrea could not be their Heaven then Gehenna would be. They maimed and injured one another for sport and pleasure whenever they pleased, but they needed something more pathetic than even them to kill instead of each other.
The Inferno would be made for the soul purpose of having an area for which the Gehennans could despoil and send more despoilment onto the Physical Plane. The demons of the Inferno were made out of the banished souls killed in Ragnogoth along with those who were loyal to the Gehennan gods in order to satisfy an urge of endless slaughter and depravity. The life of demons of the Inferno consisted of either tormenting those mortals that turned to malice or the demons would simply be slaughtered by the hands of the Gehennan Gods for jovial endeavors. One lowly pact demon, Adrammelech, devised a plan for which to gain power in the planes of Gehenna. She jotted out the Pact of Those Below and Above for the Gehennan Gods with Mot, the God of Decay and Death, and put forth the treaty to a wandering Gehennan God, who enjoyed the agenda.
This God, Natsa, brought Adrammelech before the Gehennan Court and the gods cackled at the grand gesture and approved it. When the Empyrean Gods approved of the Pact, the Gods of Gehenna granted Adrammelech godhood after slaughtering one of their own. This event would sow the seeds of deceit and intrigue amongst the Gods of Gehenna and the Archdemons of the Inferno.
Adrammelech plotted behind the scenes of the deaths of the various gods of Gehenna and the Archdemons of the Inferno by having them destroy and fight amongst themselves. Meanwhile, Adrammelech would consume their souls and powers for herself as the petty gods would commit civil strife amongst each other as "their" plot would come to fruition.
As the The Great Holy War ravaged the lands of Tenebra and the Empyrean Gods, the Gehennan Gods plotted out landmasses and rolled dice to see who gets what. Unsatisfied with the randomized and cheated results, many gods and archdemons turned on each other, and by 66 E.G.H.W. only one god remained, Mot. Mot had been the closest thing Adrammelech considered to be a father and gave him a potion that appeared to be of a healing nature. Mot knew what the potion truly was and he would die once he drank it, but before he ingested the potion nonetheless he stated "even death must die." And with Mot's empowered soul with every Gehennan diety following into Adrammelech now, she had become a god unlike any other.
Adrammelech then with a clap of her hands and a single phrase "unending-doom" fused the realms of Gehenna and the Inferno into Sheol, made archons that could never hope to oppose her, and she made a miles wide portal in the capital of the Latonan Empire. This would seep numerous demons and new archons into the Physical Plane as they continue to bring ruin and doom to the world. The despoiled land known as Abbadon hosts hordes of thousands of demons attempting to overturn the world again and again. It is only, in the minds of the most intelligent, a matter of not how but when the Doom that the Despoiler will bring with her hordes of billions demons from Sheol onto the cursed land of Tenebra.
