Personal history

Jofira was the daughter of the king and queen of a small city of reclusive high elves north of the Mere of Dead Men, but she was secretly having an affair with a human woman. This was hugely against all the city's laws, so when her parents found out they locked her away in the keep of Argynvostholt and punished her for decades, only letting her out in early 8006 once her partner had passed away.
Jofira was furious when she found out and killed her parents using poison on the king and brute force on the queen. Now wanted for regicide in the east, she fled her city and found a cloister of monks, who followed the tradition of the Way of Long Death, where she became immediately enamoured by their solitary lifestyles (they tended to search for enlightenment separately from each other, only speaking to one another when working together on an experiment was absolutely necessary) and threw herself into the study of the mechanisms of death, beginning her worship of the goddess Shar. she has left the cloisters with every intention of returning and with the hopes of bringing back more knowledge from observing and partaking in the killing that usually adventurers find themselves partaking in.
