Valonian Erkinia
Valonian Erkinia is one of the Valonian provinces of the Valonia Empire, locating on the east part of the Gate Lowland. It succeeded their protectorate, though smaller and less lowerful than it was.
The Valonian conquered Erkin around 55 VE in the late Second Channel War. The victory treaty caused Erkin to be annexed entirely and as such be converted to a province. Ironically, some parts of their territory was given to the another protectorate, but unlike them, they became independent and highly supportive.
History
The area of Erkinia used to be a territory of the Irgia Republic as part of Wall of Irgian construction, before the Empire of Kritus controlled it instead for centuries (565 to 167 BVE) before again the republic managed to reclaim. However, Krins had dominated Irgs so long their culture became alienated to native Irgs, making ruling very difficult. After a year of confrontation, the Erkin eventually returned to republic authority, though not fully integrated; Erkin gained a seat of Senator in the Irgian Council while demanding to form their own council. This became of what'd be known as the Protectorate of Erkin, which has lasted for more than 200 years.

Poor Erkin. It's a shame it is now less powerful than it was before. I hope Valonia trats it all right as a province.
