Alethia; Herald of Remiel

Sworn as Terrania's Greatest Hero by the Archangel Remiel. She answered Remiel's call to follow a divine voyage, joining Perithes Sacred Band and subsequent struggle against The Mountain King and his Invasion

BACKSTORY

Alethia was born seemingly as a human in a small farming town outside Reynault, Toussaint . Up until her calling, she lived a quiet farming life with her family. But one night, The Message of Remiel filled her dreams. He told her of her Celestial ancestry, and that she had been chosen to carry out a divine crusade. She was to find Perithes and support his actions against The Mountain King. She would find Remiel's relics and defeat The Mountain King. Alethias consciousness yelled out her desire to answer the call, and thus her Aasimar power were awoken. With her newly formed wings, and angelic powers, she flew off to find Perithes.
She caught up with Perithes as he marched his Sacred Band into the The Agrios Agnosto . Perithes was naturally hesitant to believe such a proclamation, but Estmyra Mystbringer convinced him of its true nature. Regardless of how Alethia looked, she carried the martial prowess of her Celestial forbearers. She joined the group and became a vital member and important piece success against The Mountain King.
During the Sacred Band's journey throughout the Agrios Agnosto, her connection to the relics offered a means of communication between her and the Mountain King. The two spent much of the ordeal attempting to persuade the other to renounce their oath. Alethia was convinced that good still existed within The Mountain King, and if she could support him, the corruption of Tammurz would recede. The Mountain King tried to convince her of the capricious nature of the Celestials. They were not benevolent beings, but colonizers and imperialists. They sought to enslave the beings under them and force them to comply with their rigid philosophies. He gave examples of what the Celestial do to followers that disobey their dogma. Neither could influence the other, and so their destinies were ordained.
In the climatic final battle, Alethia sensing the Mountain King was too powerful, donned the The Corrupted Relics of Remiel . Using her connection to the relics, she unlocked their power, and used it against the Mountain King. The two had a long, destructive duel, that ended with Alethia plunging the Sword of Tammurz deep within the belly of the Mountain King. With one last flametouched slash, the Mountain King was obliterated. But during the course of the battle, she suffered immense wounds. This allowed the corruption of Tammurz to seep into her mind. She lost control, and Tammurz took over. He began donning the remaining relics, lifted from the smoldering remains of The Mountain King. Estmyra and Kronli Oathsworn tried to stop her, but were quickly overwhelmed by the growing dark power controlling Alethia. When all looked lost, The Archangel Remiel appeared before them. The corruption of Tammurz was immediately snuffed out, and Alethia fell back to the earth. Estmyra and Kronli rushed to her aid, but it was too late, Alethia had succumbed to her wounds; too far drained by the corruption. But Remiel assured them, Alethia's was not gone, she would ascend to her earned place in Celestia. He took her essence and body with him, along with the corrupted relics and returned to the Celestial Plane.
Alethia now serves the will of the Celesial Domain as one of its Champions, an archangel. In Terrania her heroism became renown. She soon became the Patron Saint of all Aasimar. They look up to her and spend their life trying to emulate her path. They wish to one day become awoken and ascend to meet their ancestors in the Celestial Domain. A massive temple dedicated to her was erected where she ascended. Aasimar and any folks on the filled with the Celestial Spirit pilgrimage and thank her for her service to Terrania.
