Cassandra Lionheart
Cassandra was one of the great Terrania heroes. She a key part of the The Zurlandor Crisis while a member of the The Fireheart Oath .
Backstory
Cassandra was born in Port Cristobal, Pierce. At a young age she showed remarkable wit, and a grand sense for daring theatrics. Her exploits around town caught the eye of a Bardic Tutor of the School of Valor. She took to the profession like a fish to water. After graduating, she set off for a life of adventure. She spent most of her early life running contracts for various The Acastus Consortium annex's across Terrania. She eventually ended up in Eridenne, Ankerya where she meet Twilda Goldhammer . The two quickly bonded and began running as a team. She also started her on again, off again rivalry-affair with Erron Boldensoul . Through mutual contacts; Cassandra and Twilda began working against, then with Rornildon Purestrike . It was around this time Erron reached out to Cassadra about working a series of contracts for Ryzather Safaverder of Tunesta .
At the end of the Zurlandor Crisis, while the Oath was deep beneath the world, in a life or death struggle against Dark Sun , she instilled herself with the desire to be the one to use the The Sol-Lance to destroy Dark Sun. She knew the act would almost certainly kill her but thought there would be no greater last act of a hero. As she went for the killing blow; Erron stepped in and took the Sol-Lance from her as he sent her off to a safe plane. Erron was the one to sacrifice himself. Cassandra spent many years after the Crisis lost in the guilty of Erron's death, and her failure in taking the chance at ultimate glory. After much convincing by Weston Qwellmar , she eventually forgave herself. Using the land bequeathed to her by Ankerya in Tripolia; she started up a Valor Bard School, called the School of the Boldensouls. It quickly became a huge success, becoming one of the most influential in all of Terranaia. The school still runs today, centuries after her passing.
