God Spark

God Spark is noted to be either the powers the Gods receive from Conduit of Divinity or the moment a mortal has the ability to ascend, to become a Demigod. The former is a power that the Gods receive and its amounts and limits are based on the number of their worshippers, clerics, cults, and rank. The more a God has God Spark, the less he becomes mortal. This means a Greater Deity transcends mortality and thinks outside the mortal frame of logic and consequence. While a Lesser Deity can sometimes be empathetic to the causes of mortals, the Greater Deities see a bigger picture and move past the cosmic alignment. In terms of the God Spark as a moment for mortals to become Demigods. It is rare but can happen, mainly to Heroes/Villains and they will either be notified a powerful being (interested in them becoming a god or trying to stop them) or they will feel it themselves, in the latter, it happens when the soul can't lie anymore and the mortal consciously feels it is time. When the moment is achieved, the mortal has a choice, become a Demigod, or refuse. If they refuse Divinity, they will receive a star of Tethys marking the moment they are a true mortal Hero/Villain. They cannot become a Chosen of God, Exarch or any kind of divine power anymore as once the choice is made, it cannot be unmade. If they accept the choice, they become a Demigod and are given a Portfolio connected to their character or actions.
