Thrym gained some non-Giant worshippers throughout the millennia, only in the
Fifth Age, Current Age, after his sudden revival, he would gain even more. Many tribes in the snowy mountains would worship him as the god of winter and cold, seeking his blessing to survive the harsher parts of the former. Clerics of Thrym seek to show the world that winter isn't a trifling matter, even conjuring powerful snowstorms to those that disrespect it.
History
Like his brother,
Surtr, he was chosen among his people as their champion and new leader during the
Second Age, Godswar, just after the
First Age, The Titan War. His rivalry with Surtr was known and brought much strife, not only to their relationship but to the races of giants. It was only due to the many disasters that the world of Tethys was struck, that both of their worshippers were moved apart. After the
Third Age, Kingdoms, another war would break out but was stopped by the coming of the
Icons, which made the brothers stop their war effort for a while. Thrym would die during this conflict, making Surtr go into a fit of rage. However, he wasn't gone for good, as
The Second Divergence happened, Thrym returned to
Jotunnheim. His brother saw something change in him, he became ever more cold, distant, and uncaring for their rivalry, which made Surtr even angrier. It is said, that the sudden surge of undead in
Niffleheim and the revival of the Frost Giants there is because Thrym returned.
Dogma
Reject death's cold embrace, become the ice
Let the snowstorm commence, be in front of it
Learn to live with the cold, your flame might dwindle, let it
Relationships with other Gods
Thrym and
Surtr always fight, even after the former's death and revival. Surtr does it mainly to gain favour with their leader,
Stronmaus of the
Jotunnheim, while Thrym is merely answering his brother. Over the decades, Thrym is becoming more and more out there, like a shadow of his former self.
