Yeenoghu

Lord of Gnolls (a.k.a. Ye'en)

During the Second Age, Godswar, Yeenoghu was known as Ye'en, the elven god of combat. He rode with his followers upon the land and the taste of war was so satisfying for him, he soon became "blinded" with his goal. No matter who was the enemy, if they stood in his way, he would slaughter through and thus a massive raid was done upon the elven lands. The Greater Deity of Elves, Wise One couldn't stand for it and cursed Ye'en and his followers, turning them to monsters, now known as Gnolls. He escaped to the Demonic Corridors carving his own plane of Death Dwells. Those that didn't follow him into the demonic place, were slaughtered by those they once would name brothers and sisters. The gnoll race was gone from the Material Plane but that changed during the Third Age, Kingdoms. Yeenoghu lost most of his divine powers, so he needed allies in the mortal realm, thus he worked with the banished Drow of the Undertethys. When they opened the portals, he swarmed in and attacked the surface with them during the War of the Underworld. They lost this war but the gnolls of his army stayed behind, festering the lands, bringing more foul, demonic essence with them. Yeenoghu won't be pleased until all of the elven race is eradicated.
