The Stolen Mine 4
General Summary
The group ran out of the temple to see 3 men about to execute a Bugbear. They turned and charged. Echo ran past the first 2 to free the bugbear. With all the commotion Arismal Oldra and Boretha Armida ran out to join the fight. Arismal revealed himself to be a powerful mage and dropped an ice storm on the fight. This knocked out Virtuitous and dealt considerable damage to the others in the fight.
Okhruhd took this as a sign of the mage being their champion and rushed to be the one to kill him as Christy duelled Boretha. The other henchmen were killed, one by one, and Arismal head was split down the middle. With the group focused on Boretha, he blocked several attacks but was ultimately knocked out by a slap from Echo.
When he woke up he was put in a cone of truth by Terry. They used this to try to get information out of him, but unfortunately they killed everyone that may have known anything. Under this cone they convinced him to join The Order of the Rosie and train the recruits in their name. He said he would need some money and would set up base outside Larkmead.
The bugbear introduced himself as Iuthou Oteo, a spy for the Order of the Fox. He had been sent to follow Galtor and decided to stay here to get information.
While the group continued to talk to Boretha, Virtuitous went with Iuthou to further investigate the office of Arismal. Here they found a large amount of money, trinkets and a few magic items. When actually looking in the draws they also found 10 gold dragon coins which the adventurers believed could be of help later.
When they returned, Iuthou thanked the group for their help, relayed some information about the order of the fox and said they may encounter him again in Manlon.
Next the group went to find the Triton that was mentioned. They woke up Pandarus Ghidant and he had a similar story to Iuthou except he works for the Order of the Hydra. The adventurers filled him in on what had happened and he told the group about the order of the hydra and a few details about the continental cities. He was less inclined to be an ally, like Iuthou, but he said they would not be enemies. He proceeded to head to Central City.
After ensuring that Boretha had funds and a plan, the group continued heading north.
