The Stolen Mine 5
General Summary
Heading north, Okhrudh saw a deer, who he proceeded to chase for several days. Meanwhile, the group heard a load roar off to the side of the road. They investigated and found a stone giant shouting and moaning. Terry approached the giant and found out that he was outside his cave, which had been taken from him by something that was there, then wasn't. They went in to the cave and had a look around; they found nothing until a phase spider appeared next to terry and bit in to his shoulder. They fought the spider until he disappeared again, at which point a second spider appeared. Eventually they were able to defeat the group, after which they stole the giant's treasure before going out to tell him the job was done. They saw he was sad about the lack of gold, so they gave him a bit to cheer him up before moving on.
Next they encountered a water genasi member of the Order of the Sea. He briefly chatted to them, asking if they had seen an adventurer called Sterling. They said they hadn't, but they would keep an eye out. He continued south, calling his giant crocodile companion out of the river to walk with him.
Finally, the adventurers approached a bridge, on which was a single man wearing torn and dirty red guards' clothes. He moved towards Virtuitous, claiming that it was he who killed him and he must get revenge. As the man moved closer, he was sent to be very pale. Terry briefly paused him with a spell, to calm him down, and they were able to find out that he was a guard at Dobrigdon who Virtuitous killed. The fight with the man was long and hard. He was always trying to get to Virtuitous, who he was able to knock out. After he was healed, he ran back in and was knocked out again. Monty was used to drag Virtuitous away while Echo and Christy tried to keep him occupied. Upon being healed a second time he ran back in to the fray, but the revenant was ultimately taken down by a spell from Terry.
