Highlady Rashona Abither- Maydlow
The wife of Oligarch Kian Abither, Rashona's cruelty is a match for her husband's. She manages the Cabane skumhouses with Kian. She is 52 years old and, though she is human, an easy life has kept the effects of age from her rather well.

General Physical Condition
Rashona is healthy and attractive, and takes great pains to remain that way. She was blessed with a curvaceous form, striking eyes, and vibrant hair, and she would kill to maintain her appearance - literally.
Facial Features
Rashona is heterochromatic, with a blue left eye and a yellow right eye, both set beneath long arching brows the same shade of red as her wide lips.
Apparel & Accessories
Rashona dresses relatively simply, but provocatively. Her clothing is black, accented only by the occasional frill or leather belt, but she prefers plunging necklines that reach all the way to her navel and dresses cut to reveal at least one of her legs at all times.

Personal history
Rashona was born into the Maydlows just as it began to experience its rise from a middle to upper class family. Her father Karlus' money and connections had quickly elevated the previously struggling family to luxury, allowing them to purchase a house in the Hano district and thereby distinguish themselves as Korosa nobility. So, ever since she could remember, Rashona was in a position of relative power. The Oligarchs were above her, yes, but Karlus had a great deal of respect among the pirates of the Expanse, and so whatever ventures the Maydlow family invested in coincidentally passed free of waylaying. As such, the Maydlow family quickly became owed many favors, even by the more powerful families of Korosa.
However, Rashona also knew of how awful life in Reishi could be for those who were not privileged. Her mother, Yasmin, became a slave when she was young to help pay off her family's debts, and the experience had cost her an arm and both of her eyes. She was eventually freed when the debt was paid, and even managed to work her way up to reasonable prosperity in the city - more than anyone expected from a disabled former slave - but the experience still haunted her. Yasmin tried not to speak of it to Rashona, but she would often overhear her mother quietly sobbing when the Adgen storms rolled through, and she would flinch when she heard a shellbolter go off.
As such, Rashona came to know two truths: She had to avoid slavery by any means necessary, and wealth is the best way to stay safe. So, she made nice with the Younglord of the Abither family, Kian, and eventually managed to marry him, just in time for his second term as Oligarch.
Education
Rashona didn't receive the same quality of home tutoring as some other nobles, but she was taught of practical lessons about how trade in the Expanse worked, what slavery was like, and how to deal with the rough-and-tumble sort. Later on, she did pick up on more conventional forms of education, and now has a passing knowledge of most important matters relevant to her life.
Morality & Philosophy
Rashona is fundamentally selfish. She saw what slavery did to her mother and, rather than coming to hate the people who did it to her, or hating the system, or learning compassion for the slaves who cleaned their home, Rashona became concerned with preventing that fate from ever falling onto her. She did not learn sympathy or kindness, only fear for her own well being that bordered on paranoia. Both her previous husband Lavernus and her daughter Viera will attest that Rashona is not a loving woman, as evidenced by the fact that she quickly abandoned her family as soon as a better option revealed itself.
