He Is being a squirrel and he do be having armour.Mr. Squirrel is an ally of the Hat Gang and also a squirrel. Nissany is usually the only party member able to speak to Mr. Squirrel, as a forest gnome, although she is capable of casting Speak with Animals, allowing other party members to speak with him. Nissany ordered bespoke squirrel armor for him from Linene Graywind at the Lionshield Coster, much to her continued annoyance.

Personal history
He met the party outside of the Cragmaw Hideout, and again outside the Redbrand Hideout, joining them as a companion soon after.
The party lost track of Mr. Squirrel at the orc war camp, although the pixies in Conyberry Woods claimed that they saw a squirrel pass through. He reunited with his friends at the Shrine of Savras, where he had accumulated a large following of other squirrels who were actually no help at all in fighting off the orcs and cultists.
For a short while, after Kellogs was slain by a Will-o'-Wisp outside The Dragon Barrow, Mr. Squirrel came into possesion of Boston's Ring, guarding it so as to ensure Boston does not succumb to his darker instincts and become "Evil Boston" again. Nissany attempted to take the ring from the squirrel at the Townmaster's Hall, so that Evil Boston could help with interrogating Cierel, but Elarnya held Mr. Squirrel out of reach. Mr. Squirrel found the whole situation to be most unpleasant, however his relationship with the party remains mostly in tact.

Contacts & Relations
Mr. Squirrel serves as Nissany's companion, though he gets along quite well with the rest of the Hat Gang. He is also quite fond of Greta, her homemade muffins being his favorite treat. He maintains a cordial relationship with fellow party companions Anydemus and Kellogs, though he strongly dislikes {screaming noises}.
