Lovuda
Lovuda has only one water Source Crystal.
Lovuda is a water island and home to the Shobu people. There is no surface area on Lovuda, but there are large disks of rock and coral blooms that float around in the briny depths. Upon the greatest of these disks is the city of Blackheartwhich
The island's only Source Dragon is a powerful creature known as Deagon, who the Shobu worship as a god and protector, in place of the The Four Titans.
Few traders come to Lovuda, as to land on the island requires a water-tight ship that can rest on the surface of the water. These rare traders are the only way for Shobu to leave the island, as there are no ships that claim Lovuda as their home, and inter-island travel via Conjunction is forbidden due to racial discrimination by the Hjaric.
Localized Phenomena
Lovuda sits under perpetual grey Skies, although it rarely rains or storms. This fact, coupled with Lovuda's impressively high vertical water level, means that very little light penetrates the center of the island, and even less under the lowest chunks of stone.
Fauna & Flora
Lovuda is home to several species of bioluminescent fish, several species of snails, dozens of small crustaceans, and a variety of jellyfish. The flora of the island consists mainly of coral growths, seaweed that reaches up to the near surface of the island, and several species of algae. The Shobu farm all of these creatures for sustenance, although the limited populations/abundance of these creatures and flora force the people to be relatively spartan with the amount they can harvest per season.
In the depths of the island are terrible Nul Beasts who hunt those who mistakenly venture too close to the island's base. The origin of these creatures is unclear, but the people of Lovuda believe them to be in spiritual conflict with the Source Dragon of the island.
History
Once, the Shobu of this island were one people with the Hjaric of neighboring Salt. But do to a blast of powerful elemental magic, known as The Surge, the Shobu began to rapidly mutate, and became the species that is known today. The Hjaric, viewing this mutation as a disease, cordoned off the island, and banned any Hjaric from entering Lovuda or allowing any Shobu to leave. This began the segregation of the Shobu that characterizes their culture to this day.
The island is ruled by The Esoteric Order of Daegon , a clerical order which enforces the ridged cast-system of Lovuda, and uses their magic to artificially sustain the limited food sources of the island.
