Acosaphaura (Ah-KO-sah-FOW-rah)
The Acosaphaura were a well-known and respected family within the Etir tribe of the Kivan nomads, earning a reputation first for their koza breeding and riding and military prowess -- as well as their generally upstanding moral character and loyalty -- and then for their proficient marksmanship. However, the family did not draw wider attention until the time of Eraleon -- or more accurately, his brilliant wife Devatska.
They are also known for their strong genetics -- recognizably distinctive dark curly hair, dark eyes, and feline-like face shapes -- common to the Onshecaat.

History
When the kega was called by Hezath-Titan in late 985AC, the majority of the Kivan tribes fell in with the Host of Selephise and the Violet Accord; the Etir, however, were under the influence of Eraleon and Devatska, the latter of whom had created a career for herself and close contacts in the Itoqir of Ustraria, and thus the tribe sided with the Golden Itoqir and the Pact of the Blessèd.
The family's downfall would begin with accusations of Tharseas and Tesperu, two of Devatska's sons, having initiated the Tikkiss Skirmish that began the war. All that is known objectively is that they died in this skirmish, but it was enough to launch anti-Acosaphaura (and even anti-Etir) sentiments that continue to the present day.
Over the next three years of the war, two more of Devatska's sons and her husband would die in suspicious circumstances and she herself would receive increasing threats. This culminated in the disappearance of her son Andras and his wife Amathara, two koza riders in the Hidden Company, mere days after the Inebi Treaty was signed. Devatska then took her granddaughter Kotia and retreated into relative anonymity in Korzhûn for their safety, and thus became the last-surviving members of a once-illustrious line.
