Lake Podi (Poe-Dye)

A huge lake, brimming with a great variety of fish.

Geography

A large freshwater lake. Spring fed, the waters are cold and clear. The shores to the east are sandy and relatively shallow, while the north, west, and south loom with steep cliffs of a white stone escarpment.

Climate

Temperate during spring and summer, with moderate rain due to lake effect moisture.   Winters tend to be cold, due to the same lake effect.

Fauna & Flora

Shoals of pan fish and perch are abundant by the shores.   Deep water fish like chubs, bass, muskeye, Bull fish and burbots are present.   Large predatory fish called Belugar are seen rarely. These are reported to grow nearly 30 feet in length, and have been known to attack smaller boats.   Giant eagles have been seen making nests in the cliffs around the lake, as well as the rare Hippogriff.

Natural Resources

Plenty of fish and fresh water for drinking and use in industry.   While dangerous to harvest, the white stone from the cliffs makes for decorative stone works.
