House Titus
House Titus is believed to be the first royal house formed in the Isles. Their ancestors sailed from VeCoastal and settled in what is now the large city of Sons of Titus. Human presence in the land began with the construction of the city on Elven territory, sparking a conflict between the two races. Superior battle tactics allowed the humans to push the Elves back into The Forest regions and establish their city.
Initially, the new city struggled to find a prominent family to rule, leading to years of betrayal and power struggles among significant families. However, with the wit and cunning of Gordon Titus, House Titus rose to power and began their reign as the elite family in the Isles. King Gordon, determined to keep his family in power, ordered the execution of suspected traitors without evidence and caused the extinction of many minor houses, such as House Locke.
After 11 years of rule, King Gordon was assassinated by his cousin, Dominik Titus. Gordon’s son, Roman Titus, then ascended to the throne. King Roman, recognizing the need for resources, led an invasion of Tis'Envar's gold mines to secure the crown’s stability.
Following the invasion, House Titus reasserted its dominance. King Roman installed his loyal friend, Greeden Adve, as Lord of Tis'Envar, executing the original lord, Praem Hildergrass, to prevent uprisings. House Titus then formed new alliances with House Marnei of Auhren and House Gilltay of T'Rem, establishing Sons of Titus as the capital and beginning the dynasty of House Titus.
Under King Roman’s rule, the human kingdoms flourished. However, on the eighth anniversary of the alliances, King Roman died of Forest Infection after eating a contaminated apple. His son, Joelanien Titus, succeeded him and ruled peacefully until his death, when his eldest son, Mark Titus, took the throne.
King Mark despised the independence of the dwarven city, Odum, and the Elven city, Olynas. He demanded they fall under his rule, but they refused. To weaken their resistance, he orchestrated the extermination of key houses. House Rockenmass of Odum perished in a mysterious fire, but Olynas resisted. King Mark’s attempted invasion failed, as the Elves’ knowledge of the forest allowed them to triumph over the human armies.
Years later, House Titus lost control of the capital to the foreign VeCostal family, House Ashton. James Titus exploited a conflict between House Ashton and House Assura, betraying the Ashtons to reclaim control of the Isles. In the following years, House Titus hunted down surviving Ashtons, leading to their extinction.
After King James’s death, his son, Timon Titus, ascended the throne. He seized power from House Gilltay of T'Rem after Prince Delvin Gilltay secretly married his intended bride, Princess Marlee Marnei. Timon executed Delvin and drove the Gilltays out of T'Rem, granting the kingdom to House Redpool.
