Government

The Sovereign runs the city and island from their great pyramid passing down their title to the eldest child.

Infrastructure

The most noticeable feature of the city is the massive pyramid that stands as the home of the Sovereign's family. Made of sandstone with grand metal ornaments covering much of the surface and a massive golden eagle (representing the ancestral symbol of the Asir, the Roc.

History

Cerzabad was founded by Asir Human settlers who's colonization efforts were rebuffed by the already established kingdoms. Not ones to be outdone, they quickly built an impressive city and grand pyramid made to outshine all other palaces in the region.
Their success and enticing offers of economic expansion attracted many downtrodden people of the coil to their fledgling state. These vulnerable workers were then pushed into terrible employment contracts that has successfully given them just enough money to live uncomfortable, but not overly hard lives. This has created a massive class gap between the rich and poor, with the ruling class living very comfortably served by swaths of glorified slaves desperate to get enough money to live their dreams.
