The Market
The Southeastern portion of Legacy's upper level features a clustering of buildings collectively referred to as "The Market". Many of the buildings here are either two stories or a single story with a half-loft attached above it. The lower level often features workshop space and a storefront while the upper level or loft contains a modest living space for some or all of the people who work below. Most of the establishments here are asociated with trade necessary to Legacy's survival, including masons, carpenters, blacksmiths, and tinkerers. The Market also featuresa modest clinic for any health-related concerns and a pawn shop to facilitate the exchange of goods throughout Legacy.
Pica's Pawn Shop – A two-story establishment with crude wooden extensions beneath the second story windows that vaguely resemble bird perches. The exterior of the building has been painted in a myriad of light blue hues with touches of yellow. A wooden sign reads (in somewhat curde writing): "Pica's". They either got distracted or never intended to add the rest of their shop name. Inside, everything is chaotically arranged on simple wooden shelves. Various uneeded items, trinkets, and goods end up here. Each item is presented not with a price but with a name attached. The Picas' do accept gold, but perfer to trade in favors, connecting the interested buyer to the seller (the name on the tage) for deliverance of payment (favors).
Kovac's Square – Named after the first blacksmith on Legacy, Kovac's Square is a small cluster of smithies arranged around an open square. Although many once made weapons and armaments, most of the smiths now spend their days fixing basic metal parts from the various MWDs and arcane engines needed for Legacy's survival. However, with the offer of a favor, one of the smiths may be willing to work extra hours forging requested weapons or armor (if they have the materials to spare, of course).
The Ohn'Lee Clinic – A ranch-style building that has clearly seen better days... or perhaps it was initially constructed as a patchwork arrangement of mismatched wood and stone. Inside is a small waiting space with hallways and additional rooms blocked off by tattered and fraying curtains. Despite the state of disrepair, the clinic assures that all equipment is sanitary. Though, even if it wasn't, do you really have another option?
