Alté's Old Cane Inn
This building looks just like the warehouses across the street from it; you can only tell its an inn from the stable near the door and the bright sign, showing a floating blue wand. A low stone wall snakes across the front, containing a rusting iron gate. There are no windows in the two-story building except on the ground floor, where candlelight indicates the activity within.
Inside, there are only a few people gathered around some dark wooden tables. A quick glance tells you that the inn's clientele is mostly richer pilgrims. A male Hayim bartender is busy preparing for the day, cleaning glasses and fetching food for the travellers inside. There are a couple of female shouts from the kitchen and he darts to the back room. A short staircase in the back leads up to the rooms.
The rooms here are furnished with a large bed, a small table with a pair of chairs, and a chamber pot. There's no windows in the rooms, so a pair of candles have been provided for light.
History
Alté's Old Cane was built several years back to house the increasing number of travellers going along the Domiel Road. The current owner, Alana Darges, bought up this old warehouse and turned it into an inn, with Salam Darkkal as her bartender.
Gúrda Thérun of the Drakeslayers once stayed at the inn and nearly got into a fight with Dógar the Drunk here before leaving town.
