Session 21 - Skygods
General Summary
Red | Firbolg Circle of Spores Druid felt uneasy. He realized that Lady Antilia | Fiend Patron was hunting the soul of Anuna that he now carried. He decided to keep a low profile while the group was in Txanponetan.
Gorgoroth Flamesbreath | Dragonborn Psi Warrior and S'thom | Grung Gloom Stalker Ranger asked around about Perle Akbar | Half-Elf Fishmonger and about the Resistance. No one had seen Perle and everyone acted like they'd never heard of the Resistance.
Berov | Loxodon Cleric of the Forge traded his mundane gems found under the library for a small, raw stone of Zerubitxi.
The group left the city walls and found Ivica Tebog | Half-Orc Wheelwright sharing a campsite with an orc chieftain. The chieftain blamed himself for the downfall of his village. They were driven to madness by a falling star, and he assumed that it was his leadership failures that caused it. He prayed to his skygod, Windrex for deliverance.
On the horizon, a large golden beast flew. It circled the campsite and appeared to be a dragon at first until Berov noticed that the belly was shaped like a boat hull. The craft landed and an eladrin shouted down at them, "I've been looking for you." The pilot was Renestrae and she served a golden dragon-ish entity named Karmakriya | Ki-Rin.
Renestrae told the group that she searched for magical weapons called Dragon Lances. She knows the last location of 8 of them. The nearest was in a city named Xak-Tsaroth to the south near a swamp. After discussing and looking at her maps, they decided that Xak-Tsaroth is in the Crvena Vale and that it would be good to help each other.
Renestrae was accompanied by a golden spherical metal creature named Bit who was very interested in Berov and Gorgoroth. "Can you unlock me?" Bit asked again and again. Berov tinkered with the creature but had no luck. Gorgoroth opened his inner eye and sought Bit's spirit psychicly. He found something and pushed harder, extending his physic ability. He felt something grasp at its tendrils then...
BOOM!
A meteor ripped through the sky and fell towards the Golden Dragon. Renestrae punched the accelerator and zoomed out of the way. The meteor hit the campsite behind them. Ivica and the chieftain writhed in pain as they absorbed the strange energy from the meteor. There was no crater left behind. Renestrae circled a few times then decided to leave before more meteors fell.
Over the next week they took their time adjusting to air travel. Before they reached the edge of the Golden Savannah, a thunderstorm swept up around them. Windrex, an adult blue dragon, called out to them. He seemed interested in their craft and but did not threaten them. Renestrae tried and failed to outrun him.
Windrex had seen the blue comet. Some of his worshipers had died. He told them of a series of obelisks that reputedly had the power to access the Lunarscape, some plane amongst the moon and stars. The nearest is in the mountains on the southern edge of Crvena Vale. He warned them not to fly too high across the snow peaks of the mountain ranges near the Vale or they would be attacked by the white dragon who lives there.
Windrex also expressed his hatred for Sephadex, the black dragon who controls the Vale. He said Sephadex was a coward who never comes out of his swamp and that he's searching for some sort of weapon to gain more power over the dragons that surround his swampy territory. Sephadex betrayed Windrex's orders during the war and may have angered the nearby white dragon as well. There may be an opportunity to use this against him.
