Latian
Latian was the Language of the Latian Empire, a Nation which existed in The Old World during the Golden Age and the Age of Invasion. Though not widely spoken in modern times, it is the ancestor of several extant Languages, including Montaignard, Vatician, and Vodacci. The Church of Pholtus uses a modified version of Latian as its liturgical Language and it is a common second tongue for educated people across Latia Major and Latia Minor.
Additionally, Explorers in The New World have discovered documents and carved inscriptions written in a pseudo-Latian Language known as Archaean. Though distinctly different from any form of Latian ever spoken in the Old World, the two dialects are close enough to be mutually intelligible. Thus far, no explanation has been found for this phenomenon, though it is seen as strong evidence for prior contact between the Old and New Worlds.
