Zarus
Zarus is a Deity worshipped by some Humans indigenous to The New World. He is depicted as an impossibly handsome Human male and is associated with the New World Suns. His holy symbol depicts the two suns together, with a beaming Human face laid over the Gold Sun.
His Religion, known as "the New Faith," came to prominence in the Archaean Empire prior to its collapse. At some point, a Civil War was fought between Zarus' followers and those of the original Archaean Pantheon. This resulted in a victory for the New Faith, which destroyed the Old Gods' temples and became the Empire's only sanctioned Religion for the rest of its existence. The Disciples of the Sixfold Seal are an extreme sect of the New Faith who worship Zarus alongside the being known as Shamsiel.
Signs of Zarus' worship in the New World were first discovered on 8/30/213 by Eagrym, Herris, Ivellios, Lyudmila, and Ma'ago. Some New World natives, including many sentient undead, believe Zarus to be the source of The Plague-Death which destroyed the Archaean Empire, perceiving it as a divine punishment.
