Monastery of Time
This massive monastery sits atop the tallest and coldest mountain in the realm, the Silveridge. Its ancient wooden walls and towers are built on stilts and supported by thick beams and pillars. The only way to reach this place is by hiking approximately 20 kilometers of the Silverdige, a journey that takes several days on foot, and then locating the Kalt Fjell, a mountain passage that leads through the mountain and up to to the monastery. Some adventurers have tried to climb the remaining 4 kilometers that lead to the peak outright, but none have lived to tell the tale. The air is thin and frigid at this altitude, and the winds howl constantly, making it a harsh and unforgiving place to live.
Inside the monastery, the halls are dimly lit by flickering candles and filled with the sound of chanting monks. The walls are adorned with intricate carvings and tapestries depicting scenes from the monastery's history and the teachings of its founder. The monks spend their days in prayer, study, and manual labor, tending to the needs of the monastery. These monks serve Tengen the Immortal, the master and founder of this place. While most have taken a vow of silence, some are allowed to break it, but only when they join the Knights of the Temporal Order .
