Manhattan
Manhattan is the smallest but most densely populated borough of New York City. It is located primarily on Manhattan Island, but also includes the Marble Hill area on the U.S. mainland. It is commonly divided into Upper Manhattan, Lower Manhattan, and Midtown.
Many of New York's most famous landmarks are located in Manhattan, including Times Square, Central Park, the Empire State Building, Chrystler Building, Chinatown, the Stonewall Inn, and Stark Tower.
In 2012, Manhattan suffered widespread destruction when it was the center of the Battle of New York.
