Shi'ar Empire

The Shi'ar Empire is an interstellar galaxy planning the B'lbwo, Chr'Yll, Cyrane Om'lr, D'bari, Elia, Varanus, Zhylian Cascadhel, and Shi'ar systems of the Andromeda Galaxy. It's throneworld is Chandilar, in the Shi'ar System.

Spanning eight galaxies and an inhabitted extra-galactic asteroid field, the Shi'ar Empire is one of the largest and most politically powerful political bodies in the known galaxies. It is a constitutional monarchy, ruled by the Shi'ar Neramani family. The current Majestrix is Lilandra Neramani. The Majestrix or Majestor is adviced the by High Council, made up of representatives from the worlds of the Empire considered to be 'civilised' by Shi'ar standards.

The Empire is aggressively expansionist, and has fought territory wars with many other powerful states including the Second Skrull Empire, the Nova Empire , the Kree Empire, and the Brotherhood of the Badoon. Worlds conquered by the Shi'ar are euphemistically described as having 'married into' the Empire. Conquered worlds are permitted limited self-government, but the Shi'ar legal code is enforced on all worlds, including Shi'ar punishment standards. The Shi'ar Empire is the only signitory to the Pan-Worlds Treaty where slavery is legal.
