Aeonia

The ancient kingdom of Aeonia, a vast and sprawling continent that stretches far and wide, filled with a vast variety of topological, geographical, and historical wonders that have fascinated the minds and hearts of all who have travelled upon its roads, climbed its mountain-peaks, or foraged in its deep woods.   The mysteries and marvels of Aeonia are plentiful, for the land is littered with the ruins of ancient civilizations, lost to the oceans of forgotten memories, yet still echoing with the whispers of times long gone. Before mankind set foot upon the shores of the Aeonian continent, dwarves and elves had lived there for milllenia. They thrived side by side throughout all of Aeonia's various geographical environemnts; for the elves and dwarves of old had vastly different habitat preferences. The elves had a proclivity for building majestic citadels and gleaming cities upon the green grasslands and fertile valleys of Aeonia; whereas the dwarves preferred the mountain ranges and their deep cavernous systems, where they constructed vast and advanced underground cities and mined for rare minerals and prized gemstones. Many of these cities were connected through intricate systems of tunnels and hidden passageways, of which only a few remain known and mapped. There are vast stretches of ancient tunnels still left uncharted and undiscovered, and depite the perils of exploring these deep chasms, rewards may be grand and plentiful for a foolhardy adventurer.
Many of the elven great citadels and settlements still stand to this day however, inhabited and maintained by the current nobles and residents of Aeonia. Elf, dwarf, and man alike.
