ICS Val Hegan

The ICS Val Hegan was the first Battleship to ever be constructed serving as a colony ship to take settlers to Datris. The Val Hegan made several successful journies until a combination of new technological developments and wear and tear meant it would require significant a retrofit and repair. Rather than modernising the ship it was given as a gift by the Emperor of the Aesalian Empire to the Datrisi Colonial Government where it could be preserved in its original form as a museum to the founding of the colony. It now rests shortly outside Nucleus in a specially designed above ground bunker that acts as a museum to the 8th Age and the creation of the colony.
