Merkwick

Merckwick lies on the west shore of the Great Inland Sea. It rests on a small plot of land in the Merkwick swamp. The city rises with its gothic buildings out of the gloomy swamp. Because the dry land here is rare, the city has risen up higher than most cities in Coriss. The city is known for its port and trade with the east. Because of the space, the city is jumbled. There are no real districts, but more of a Hodgepodge of locations. The richer upper class tend to be around the keep. The lyceum here is known for its magic study; in fact, the whole town is known for its connection to the arcane arts. Many Wizards and sorcerers make their home here.
