Renault le Renégat
Renault Dubois (a.k.a. Renault le Renégat)
Saineolaí Renault le Renégat, formerly known as Renault Dubois, is a Saltisian apostate and maleficar. He's wanted by the Kadian Inquisition for crimes against the Andorian Church, the Kingdom of Saltis and the Saltisian people, and the Kadian Dominion.

Personal history
Following the murder of both his parents by an unknown party in 1003 AB, Renault became increasingly interested in necromancy, and was wanted by the inquisition for questioning, being declared an apostate in 1034. After several years of avoiding the inquisition and leaving a gruesome trail that lead to nowhere, he was declared a maleficar in 1047 fled the SFLK to an unknown location. To this day he is deemed as one of the inquisition's highest priority targets, with the ARA and the Inequitars also being involved. He is believed to still be at large.
Renault as last seen in Sabersycha
managed to control that many undead. Due to Mojigin Khanboroldi enacting a forced march, Renault failed to arrive in time and was able to join the battle only some hours after it began. However, he did play a major role in the battle, as the wraiths under his command blocked the sole escape route from the castle.
In 1050 AB an adventuring group consisting a former soldier of the ARA found Renault in Sabersycha, where he serves as Dara Colcamin's Hooded Pupil. A Saineolaí in lord Colcamin's court, he is tasked with handling all matters involving graveyard clearances and ghoul hunting and serves as his right hand man.
During the Siege of Clochdor Castle, Renault was given command of the wraiths of Clochdor and was tasked with rallying them; this included traveling throughout the lordship's haunted posts and assuming control over them; it is unknown how he
Education
It is unknown where Renault gained his education prior to arriving in Sabersycha; it is speculated he gained access to forbidden books, either by smuggling them into the SFLK or by stealing books confiscated by the inquisition. Currently, he serves as an understudy for Dara the Deathless; even though Dara lacks a formal education in necromancy, he has an innate understanding of the school of magic and can supposedly further Renault's understanding.
