Sarenrae is a goddess of hope, light, and renewal, primarily worshipped as a member of human-related pantheons.

Tenets of Faith

The core tenets of Sarenrae's faith are divided into two categories - benevolences and temperances. While benevolences are easy to understand and intuitive to follow, temperances have a less obvious connection to Sarenrae and involve personal risks to some extent.

Relations with Worshippers

Although Sarenrae shares influence over certain domains with other gods, she is neither jealous nor territorial. While she occasionally takes a more interventionist role in mortal affairs, more often than not she remains somewhat aloof from the world. A common saying amongst the clergy of Sarenrae is that "Where there's effort, The Everlight assists"; that is, while it might seem like Sarenrae does not lend her help in an obvious or conspicious manner, she will always help those who don't lose hope. More than any other god, Sarenrae is willing to forgive and redeem the transgressions of her followers. This is not to say that her followers do not attempt to follow her guidance nor that they are not wary of transgressions; if one is to redeem evil, how can one deny atonement? In her followers, she appreciates one's adherence to one's beliefs and ideals as much as she appreciates one's adherence to her own ideals, as long as those are of good nature or benign intent.

Knight Errants Hospitaler

One of the most distinct traditions among paladins of Sarenrae is the tradition of knight errant hospitalers; paladins that travel the lands in search of those in need.
