Taranika, Queen Regent of Akros
Following the death of King Anax, and the disappearance of Queen Cymede, Taranika was proclaimed Regent by The Gerousia, mainly through the intercession of her husband, Climnestos, Elder of The Foxes.
Her marriage to Climnestos appears to be one of political expediances only, and it is common knowledge the two have little genuine affection for one another.
Over the last few years Taranika has been growing ever weaker, due to being plagued by wicked dreams and the stress of running a Polis without the fully authority of a reigning monarch. Many whisper that she is too weak now to continue as regent.
Taranika's main pwerbase within Akros is The Gorkhan Guard, most of whom have sworn fielty to her, as the reigning Queen of Akros. She is also close friends with the Second-in-Command of the guard (Anacharsis).
