Jyara Fusion Station 1
A large biological structure built by the Unified Arkan Council within the atmosphere of Jyara, a gas giant.
The first fusion reactor ever constructed by the UAC. This would provide a vast amount of food to a lot of people on the planet, as well as their bioships, and other engineered organisms. The Jyarans would focus on developing fusion 'technologies' for many years, as they are located in a gas giant and hydrogen fuel is present everywhere. It didnt even have to be efficient, it just had to produce a lot of energy.
Though the structure is heavier than the upper atmosphere, the fusion station would sink into the gas giant until the atmosphere became as dense as the fusion station, at which point it would begin to float. This altitude lied at approximately the same height as the average 'sleep depth' of the Jyaran peoples. Although it would rarely move, it never had to avoid predators as it was too large for anything to eat it, and it was excellently defended by the Harkas using it. Seeing its immense use, some other cultures started building their own fusion reactor organisms. The energy potential was significantly higher than that of fission and fuel far easier to obtain, for the Jyarans anyway. A huge number of similar structures would be constructed around the Beta Targos System, especially on Jyara and Zarbarax, and soon became the primary energy sources of those 2 planets. The latter would receive enough energy for its biosphere to grow, and food no longer had to be rationed to such an immense degree.
