Lambda Raltais A I is a relatively large lava planet, meaning it has a stronger surface gravity than most planets of its class. This means there is much less height variation over the terrain, which has given any snipers a large advantage during the Suon - Saelian war, where this planet was fought over. Another key force that was deployed to the planet were hover tanks. Tracked tanks would be prone to the many small lava lakes, but hover tanks float above them.
Both sides primarily fought over the rich metal ores present there like on most lava worlds, but also needed this strategic location which would allow them to more easily deploy forces through the whole system. Although the Saelian defences held strong, they eventually fell to the strong Suon attacks. They also performed some clever moves using the weather against the Saelian Coalition, damaging a lot of their military infrastructure and reducing morale of the saelians. They have damaged multiple fortresses like this.
Despite not being a gas giant, this planet also has a small asteroid ring. This is also mined for materials often, however most of the planets value comes from the ore on the surface. Still, these asteroids are an effective place to hide defences and start guerilla style raids so the United Nations of Tebburus avoided it as much as they could. Indeed, few of their starships were lost to saelian raids from the asteroids.
