Pajaras II
A gas giant planet in the Pajaras Systen which is owned by the Unified Arkan Council UAC.
Pajaras II was a very hot gas giant. This was until the systems Amoeba Sphere grew to its full size, blocking all the sunlight. Pajaras II rapidly cooled down, and more deeply than other planets. Its volume was decreased substantially which led to an increase in density as the mas remained unchanged. This has had significant and obvious changes to the planets biosphere. Rather than energy being brought to the world through sunlight, it comes in the form of many creatures that come to the planet that 'drink' from the atmosphere. Most of these require hydrogen as propellant to accelerate through space, so many creatures native on Pajaras II rapidly evolved to hunt these creatures rather than rely on the native species. Almost no energy producers exist on Pajaras II anymore, the biosphere of every planet now relying on the Astromoeba and Amoeba Sphere.
As for the Harkas that were living on the gas giant at the time, this was a difficult adjustment to make. They had to gentically engineer themselves a bit just to survive the rapidly changing conditions and sudden cooling of the gas giant. nonetheless, it has a fairly large population mostly due to the sheer size of the gas giant. Despite the rapid changes, it still has a large biosphere that the local population harvests very often. This makes the planet quite valuable. In order to not disturb the local life and harkas living on the planet, the Hyperion Federation has not set up any gas collection stations.
