Pajaras System Supercomputer
A very large, engineered organism that was grown on the surface of the Amoeba Sphere of the Pajaras Systen, which is owned by the Unified Arkan Council UAC.
The Supercomputer is a specially advanced organism that makes use of a biological form of Quantum Computing Device - which are used in most mechanical computers of the HF - to improve its energy efficiency and processing power substantially. The supercomputer was designed by many local Harkas from various planets, as well as the greater Hyperion Federation, all collaborating to form a very large, biological data center. This is powerful enough to rival a mechanical one of more regular technology and of a similar size. The advantage of this is that the UAC can grow the data center on demand in a similar way as many organisms and massively extend its computing power on demand.
However, it requires energy to operate like any physics-compliant data center. Because it has been grown on an Amoeba Sphere, it can easily take energy from it by eating food grown on the sphere. It can eat many different materials and is often manually fed by the harkas that live on the world. Many special measures are taken to ensure the harkas themselves are not eaten. It can also take blood directly from the amoeba sphere. The data center stores a lot of information - a lot of it regarding the contents of the star sytstem, but also a lot of Federation-wide files as well for backup. It is worth about 0.04% of a Matrioshka Brain in terms of processing power - which is actually an immense figure.
