Xralax B III
Planet in the Xralax System which is owned by the Xalarin Council.
This planet is a slightly hot gas giant. Although it is the largest planet in the system, it is slightly too small to fuse hydrogen. If it was slightly bigger, it would be classified as a very small star, so the planet does emit a small amount of heat but most of the heat on its moons come from the actual star that it orbits, Xralax B, which is a class F star.
The planet is almost entirely comprised of hydrogen like most gas giants and has a metallic hydrogen inner layer. This is exploited by a number of gas giant collection stations that are designed to withstand the powerful winds present on the world. This does not go without cost, this planet is also famous for being one of very few planets where gas giant collection stations had a collision, killing thousands. The large cables that collect gas of both were caught in a single large storm and were twisted around each other. This caused a powerful attraction force between the stations, causing them to collide hours later. Most of the crew of either station were extracted. Despite this, itis still extracted for valable hydrogen fuel used for fusion. It is defended with a large number of defence platforms, and also used as a military dock site that is often used to rearm and refuel ships.
