Yytu

Planet in the Utuy System, the home system of the Tyu race.   YYtu is a relatively cold planet and located quite far from its parent star. Its orbit is strangely ellipticular, to a much higher degree than most planets. This means that the planet can rapidly transition into hotter and colder seasons over htis orbit. This gives the planet a decent scientific value, but not immensely valuable. The Sulethis Republic mines on the planet, and easily extracts a measure of metallic materials used to build starships. However, most of the refining process is carried out in space because of the huge temperature difference between the melting point of metal ore and the planet temperature. It is easier to refine in space because the heat is more easily confined. Several of these stations orbit the planet Yytu, and then they send any mined material to any shipyards in the system.
