Belmar Temple

The Belmar Temple of the Pantheon of Heaven is a towering six-story stone building in the Town of Belmar.  It is the primary place of worship for the followers of the Pantheon of Heaven and it is one of the newest stone structures in the town.   The Temple has a small, narrow footprint, but with some unique and innovative construction designs that building is able to reach far into the sky.  It has many tall and coloful glass windows allowing sunlight to pour into the nave of the structure.

Purpose / Function

Primary place of worship for the followers of the Pantheon of Heaven.

Design

The Temple has a tall, peaked facade leading to an enclosed vestibule.  From the vestibule are three grand doorways leading to the grand nave, or main room, of the temple.  The grand nave is a long rectangular room, 40' wide and 90' long, with a ceiling reaching 60' above the floor.  The walls are filled with tall, narrow stained glass windows on both sides.  Between the windows are small altars and shrines to the various gods of the faith, with a large statue of Ayunis dominating the wall opposite the grand doorways.

Entries

The grand doorways to the temple are a set of three arched entrances with carved and guilded oak doors depicting scenes of the creation of the world, the creation of the races and the pantheon itself.

Sensory & Appearance

Incense, beeswax and perfume scent the air in and around the Temple, and carved stone vases along the outside walls of the building hold offerings of flowers dropped with prayers by passing faithful.

Denizens

The Rectory of the Temple is next door to the building.  Within reside the Ecclesiast and five Priests, all of whom are served by 4 Acolytes and a dozen hired servants.  The Town of Belmar has around 200 adherents of the faith who regularly pass through the Temple grounds over the course of a calendar month.

Contents & Furnishings

The Temple is filled with valuable statues, artwork and furnishings.  The Rectory is also well-appointed with richly decorated and guilded furniture and art.

Valuables

The vaults of the Temple lie deep beneath the structure, and are shockingly full for such a small community.
