City of Killmor
The City of Killmor is the County seat and largest city of the County of Killmor. It is located on the Arukill River and has a population of more than 21,000 souls.
The city is neatly centered in the County, halfway upstream the navigable length of the Arukill and equidistant from the western border and the eastern border. Sometimes considered the "Gateway" to the far western expanses of Aria, it is the last large settlement for more than 200 miles of unbroken prairie and high plains as one looks west.
Killmor is a busy city, with overland travel and trade meeting there to move over, down or up the river. It is a center of business, trade and travel. It is also the political and governmental center of the County.
Demographics
9,500 Humans and 11,500 Halflings, and there are another 20,000 travellers and traders that move through the city every year.
Defences
The City of Killmor has an unusually large defensive force. Four full companies of Heavy Cavalry and another two companies of Heavy Foot Infantry are employed full time by the Count, with the cavalry patrolling the riverbanks and approach roads, and the Foot manning the walls, towers and bridges.
Districts
The city is mostly located on the west bank of the Arukill River, but there are bridges that link the west bank to two islands in the middle of the river and from them to the east bank. The larger island, half a mile upstream from the smaller, is called Grande Isle, and the smaller island is known as Petit Isle.
Grande Isle is where one finds the Grand Temple of the Pantheon of Heaven. Petit Isle is the location of some of the most palatial homes in the region, acre-sized palaces of the County's richest and most influential residents.

The City has a plethora of inns, taverns and wine shops catering to the traders and travellers that continually move through the city.
