Salle de Tour

The Salle de Tour (Arian for Tower Hall) is the seat of the County and City government in the County of Killmor.  It is the official residence of the Count Domin Laclaire.   The Salle, as it is known by the locals, is a sprawling series of buildings connected by courtyards, walkways and walls.  Covering the better part of two acres, the buildings are all of varying ages and designs, but over the decades have become a single (if very large) residence.  Within the Salle are oppulent homes, offices, kitchens, dormitories and stables.  There is a bathhouse, a bakery, an archery range and a music hall.  One particularly large meeting hall can seat 300 adults comfortably, and many County and City mettings are held here simply out of convenience.

Purpose / Function

The Salle de Tour is the official residence and seat of authority for the Count of Killmor.

Alterations

The Salle was originally several buildings and towers of different ages and designs, but have been incorporated into one rambling large residence.  The tower (called the Tall Tower) is the oldest structure, and the original residence of the first Counts of Killmor.  Now used only as a prison and an observation platform (as the tower is the highest structure in the city and gives the best view of all approaches), it stands 130' tall at its peak, and its highest floor is 110' above the ground.  The current Count resides in one of the adjoining halls, a two-story structure of stone with a slate roof.  This adjoins another hall, called the Counts Hall, where all official business of the County is handled.
