Company of Lancers
The Company of Lancers is a unit of cavalry employed by several of the lords and nobles of Imesse.
Composition
Manpower
Each Company is made up of 100 mounted knights led by a Knight Commander. Each Company can be divided into five Troops of 20 knights led by a Knight Captain and a Lance Corporal.
Equipment
All mounted knights ride trained war horses kitted with barding and a war saddle. All wear plate armor, visored helms, a cavalry shield, an iron-tipped 12' lance, a long sword and a dagger.
Structure
Knight Commander commands and controls a Company, answers to the Regimental Commander (or higher). Commanders have Adjutant Captains to assist them, while Knight Captains command 20-knight Troops with the assistance of Lance Corporals. Each Troop also has a Master Sergeant and four Sergeants to assist in the maintenance and supply of horses and equipment.
