Gavin am Frigani
Lord Baron Gavin am Frigani
Gavin am Frigani was the previous Baron of Wennick and the father of the current Baron, Graysen am Frigani. Gavin was considered a rather weak leader, eager to succeed but lacking in success. He considered himself an accomplished leader of knights and cavalry, and eagerly answered the call to arms when the Second Northern War was initiated by the Duke of Hekmo in 213 AF. His two regiments of mounted knights were poorly led, poorly trained and were some the first to flee the field of battle at the infamous Battle of Nyallshold.
Gavin fought valiantly, but in vain. With his knights routed and in flight all around him, he was forced to retreat after his men. This ignoble defeat seemed to crush the Baron's spirit, and his health declined daily during the rout back to Imesse. Over the next 14 months, his health continued to deteriorate until he finally died in his bed at the young age of 49 years.
