History
Leo and Raph grew up together ever since they mutated. Being the two eldest children and being so close in age, they treated each other more like twins than a older/younger brother situation. Though to this day, there's many arguments on who the true eldest is. Most of the family agree that it's Leo, except for Raph who will defend his theory that he is the eldest till the end of his days. Being so close in age, they were often given the same level of responsibility growing up, but Raph's volatile personality would mean that Leo ended up taking most of those responsibilities and bossing him around. Despite still enjoying each others company on a good day, Leo and Raph grew up fighting the most. They're personalities were very different but they both wanted the same thing; independency and being in charge. Leo always got upset with Raph for being so rebellious, and Raph would be upset with how bossy and demanding Leo could be. When they started training in ninjutsu, the two of them started to become very competitive with each other, despite Splinter's efforts to discourage this mindset. It would happen anyway due to the amount of praise Leo would get compared to the amount of criticism Raph gets.
Relationship Reasoning
Leo and Raph have a complicated relationship. They obviously love each other a lot, but they also have the most trouble getting along of anyone in the family. Raph finds himself being compared to Leo a lot, which crushes his self esteem and makes him bitter about Leo's successes. In return, Leo finds himself fed up with Raph's inability to cooperate or listen to him. Raph often insists that he should be leading the team, or questions Leo's leadership and strategies. Raph often wants to do things his way which is directly contradictory of acting as a team. A fight between Leo and Raph can often turn into a screaming match and occasionally get physical. Afterwards they won't talk to each other for an extended period of time. Usually it requires an intermediary like Mikey to get the two to reconcile. At the end of the day though, Leo and Raph love each other, and have a twin bond with each other that none of the others quite have. When things get genuinely serious, the two will put their differences aside to protect each other and their family.
History
Raph and Donnie grew up together. They bonded over being the middle children, while Leo got attention for being the perfect eldest child, and Mikey was the cute youngest, Don and Raph stayed in the background with each other. Raph never really understood Donnie's nerdier interests, but was always impressed by how smart he was, and Donnie was always the one to help him understand things when he was struggling with their homeschooling. Donnie eventually got Raph interested in reading by showing him some of the fiction books he liked.
Relationship Reasoning
Donnie is probably the brother he get's along with the most, in the sense that he rarely has an issue with him. This is likely cause both of them tend to keep to themselves, not sharing a lot in common. Raph will often tease Donnie for being a nerd, but its also the one who gets the most excited about his inventions, being more impressed by his brains than he'd admit out loud.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
They don't have a lot in common on the surface. Donnie is someone Raph will hang out with when he needs someone to just vibe and chill out with. He makes a decent reading buddy, even if Donnie is reading about quantum mechanics while Raph is reading about an elven war with orcs.
History
Raph and Mikey grew up together. While Leo played the role of responsible older brother, Raph got to be the cool older brother. Growing up Mikey and Raph where a tag team of trouble makers. Raph would often put Mikey up to doing stunts that would break the rules, like stealing snacks from the top of the fridge or sneaking out in the middle of the night. Mikey became a little harder to manipulate as he got older, but instead he started coming up with the new plots, which would often turn into prank wars between him and Raph. These wars would get heated and turn into all out brawls that they had to be physically separated from.
Relationship Reasoning
Mikey and Raph has always had a teasing relationship with each other. Mikey has a tendency to annoy Raph and push his buttons on purpose, and Raph will usually retaliate by smacking him or snarking at him back. Mikey only teases Raph because he feels like he needs to lighten up a little, but sometimes he can take things too far, and really upset Raph and get into a fight with him. Despite not getting along all the time, and Mikey constantly getting on his nerves, Raph is very protective of his little brother and will get very angry if anyone hurts him. He just has a hard time openly expressing his love for his brothers outside of agression.
Commonalities & Shared Interests
Mikey and Raph both love being active. They will often be found wrestling each other in a turtle ball on ground. Whenever Mikey wants to go exploring he'll usually take Raph with him.
History
Casey met Raph for the first time after getting caught in a trap in the woods set up by Donnie. Raph was initially suspicious of her, as she came of very aggressive when they first met, but once everything was explained they both calmed down. When Casey found out that their stuff had recently been stolen by Stockgen, Casey was determined to help them get their stuff back despite only knowing them for a few minutes. Raph also immediately impressed by her passion and fight skill. He was also the most startled when it was revealed she was a girl. Raph started hanging out with Casey a lot after that, as they had a lot in common, and they quickly became good friends.
Relationship Reasoning
Casey and Raph mesh really well together. They are both strong and passionate and love to fight. Raph will often go to Casey when he feels like he needs to escape his family and blow of steam. Casey is one of the few people who can understand him and his anger issues, and one of the few people he'll open up to about it. Similarly, Raph was one of the only people Casey has opened up to about her time in the Purple Dragons and what happened to her friend.
