Endelyn Moongrave

Endelyn Moongrave is one of the three Hags that make up the Hourglass Coven, and ruler of the realm of Yon. She is the daughter of Mana Lima and the adopted sister of Zybilna. Her other sisters, Bavlorna Blightstraw and Skabatha Nightshade, are both closer in temperament to her. Together, the Hourglass Coven imprisoned Zybilna in time, and they divided her domain of Prismeer amongst themselves.   Endelyne lives in Motherhorn, a theater and castle on a wind-swept mountain. She is obsessed with the future, often seeking prophecy in her Orrery of Tragedies. She is also obsessed with tragedy and despair, which has earned her the nicknames Bitter End, Creeping Lyn, and the Mistress of Unhappy Endings. She has foreseen that her own death will happen during an eclipse and taken pains to keep even symbolic eclipses from happening in her presence. Like the rest of the Hourglass Coven, she is paranoid and suspects her sisters are plotting against her.   Most of Endelyn's bargains relate to foreseeing futures for people (the worst ones she can, of course), but she takes as payment an element of free will, thus ensuring that the person in question will be unable to avoid the decisions that lead to this terrible ending. She possesses a pair of magical scissors that allow her to separate someone's shadow from the rest of their person.   When the Witchlight Court found themselves in Yon, Endelyn had already been warned of them by Skabatha, but she believed herself powerful enough to keep them in line, buoyed by the fact that she knew no eclipse was due. The Court, however, contrived several symbolic eclipses, driving her in fear. And although they defeated her, the eclipse wasn't present, so she survived. Later, she joined her sisters at the Palace of Heart's Desire to try and stop anyone from freeing Zybilna, but she was foiled. Thereafter, she fled with her sisters to the plane of Gehenna where they have a tower they believe (incorrectly) that their sister is unaware of.
